CMS buys TNS Connect

Adds business in Ireland, UK and Europe; brandname to stay

Distributor CMS Distribution has acquired TNS Connect from PCH. TNS Connect works mainly with emerging technologies and accessories, headquartered in Ireland but also operating in the UK, mainland Europe, Australia and China. CMS will continue to run the business under TNS Connect’s brand for the foreseeable future and TNS’s leadership and management team will remain, continuing to focus on the growth of the business.

Founder and CEO of CMS Distribution, Frank Salmon, commented on the acquisition, saying: “We are delighted to welcome TNS Connect to the group. As specialists in emerging consumer technologies, they have an impressive range of vendors and customers which perfectly complement the CMS Distribution portfolio. Our customers will gain access to the latest consumer technology trends, an increased product portfolio, additional sales and marketing resources and more competitive offerings. We are very excited to offer our vendor partners new routes to market, allowing them to explore new business opportunities.”

Liam Casey, CEO and Founder of PCH said: “TNS Connect has been part of the PCH family for the past six years, and we are grateful to the TNS team for their valuable contribution and commitment. We know that CMS is the right parent company to take TNS to the next level given their focus on enhancing their product distribution capability. PCH continues to focus on our core business providing highly differentiated and value-added product development, manufacturing, packaging and fulfilment services globally.”

Following the acquisition, CMS Distribution will now employ over 300 people across the group with a foothold in Europe covering the UK, Ireland, France, Benelux and Scandinavia
