Domain name management company Com Laude has appointed Martin Sutton to lead the group's dotBrand Services and Christa Taylor (pictured), who will drive marketing initiatives for the next round of gTLDs.
“Martin and Christa bring extensive knowledge and experience in the world of new gTLDs, having been involved with applicants in the last round and actively engaged in the domain industry, including the global policy-making body, ICANN, for many years,” said Nick Wood, exec chair of Com Laude Group.
“Both were part of the leadership team developing policy and process improvements for future rounds of new gTLDs,” he added.
Taylor joins Com Laude after helping to launch and drive TLD registry businesses since 2014, supporting over 50 new gTLD applicants in the 2012 round. She holds a master’s degree in both Predictive Analytics (MSPA) and e-Business (MBA).
Sutton’s previous roles include being a risk manager at HSBC - where he was responsible for managing digital risks related to domain name portfolios, online fraud and security, brand protection and enforcement. He also co-founded the Brand Registry Group.
Both appointees will join the group’s team of experts to help extend its ability to deliver client-shaped services to more dotBrand applicants, Com Laude said.
