International VAR and cloud services provider Computacenter will soon have a new chairperson.
Current chair Peter Ryan has notified the company he will not seek re-election as a director at its 2024 annual general meeting, to be held on 14 May, 2024, and will therefore step down from his role as chair.
“The board would like to thank Peter for the significant contribution he has made since his appointment as a director in 2018, during a period of sustained growth and success for the company,” a company statement reads.
Pauline Campbell (pictured) will now relinquish her role as audit committee chair and succeed Ryan as chairperson of the company.
She joined Computacenter as a non-executive director in August 2021, and is a former PricewaterhouseCoopers Partner, who served on the governance board of the PwC UK firm, including the public interest body and the equivalent body at PwC's global network. She is also a former non-executive director of Micro Focus International.
Ryan said: “I am confident that the company is well positioned to continue to thrive and wish Pauline much success in her new role."
Earlier this week, we reported on the company’s annual results, which included growth in sales and profits, but the share price dipped following them, probably because of a cautious company forecast for the next six months.
