Conscia, a pan-European provider of cyber security and networking solutions, has acquired Ireland-headquartered PlanNet21 Group, which operates in similar markets.
Conscia and PlanNet21 Group have both been offering services to the public and private sectors for over 20 years.
PlanNet21 is said to have had revenues “close” to €70m in 2022/23. The company is headquartered in Dublin, with regional offices in Cork, Galway, Belfast and Edinburgh in Scotland. It has around 300 customers.
Conscia supports more than 1,000 customers across Europe in finance,
healthcare, manufacturing, utilities, retail, and the public sector. It is present in Denmark, Germany, Norway, Slovenia, Sweden, the Netherlands, and the UK, and is owned by private equity investor Nordic Capital. Conscia says the combined current business, including PlanNet21 Group, had revenue of “over” €700m million in 2022/23.
“I welcome customers and the highly competent people from PlanNet21 Group to Conscia, and we look forward to working together in Ireland and in all our combined markets. There is a commercial and cultural fit that will create a very compelling customer proposition,” said Conscia CEO Erik Bertman.
“With Conscia we can accelerate our development through enhanced customer offerings and a pan-European presence. They bring financial strength and scale in networking competencies,” added Peter Carroll, CEO of PlanNet21 Group.
PlanNet21 Group is Conscia’s 20th acquisition in eight European geographical markets, and follows it acquiring a digital transformation provider in the UK, ITGL, and Nordic Kanari Group, a specialist in observability, earlier this year. The value of the latest acquisition has not been disclosed.
