Conscia changes CEO for next stage of international growth

Pan-European MSP and network integrator Conscia has announced the appointment of Erik Bertman (pictured) as its new CEO to lead further international expansion. He is succeeding Claus Thorsgaard, who has led and grown the business over the last three years through acquisitions.

“Erik Bertman will further scale the company for sustainable growth, internationalisation and strengthening its customer offering within cybersecurity, multi-cloud and managed services,” said Conscia.

Most recently, Bertman was CEO of Coromatic Group, which secures availability of power and data communications for mission-critical functions. Previously he held executive positions at Microsoft Sweden and Nokia.

Morten Hübbe, chairman of the board at Conscia, said: “Erik has a track record of outstanding business results and building international technology companies. This coupled with his passion for products and technology is a perfect match for Conscia.”

Bertman added: “Conscia is setting the standards for solutions and services to enable organisations to be able to use technology in a reliable and secure way. I see strong potential for further international growth and expansion.”

For the year 2019/2020, the Denmark-headquartered group has just reported that sales rose 18% to around €300m, covering its business in Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Slovenia, Sweden and Norway. Over the last couple of years Conscia has acquired xevIT in Germany, Secoa in Sweden, Damecon in the Netherlands and NetIT and Credocom in Denmark. The group currently employs around 800.
