Cloud services vendor D2IQ has appointed Louise Bulman as vice president of sales in EMEA as part of its growth strategy in the region. The company says Bulman will use her extensive experience of commercial growth to build upon D2IQ’s expanding list of customers, as well as developing the firm's channel ecosystem.
Bulman joins D2IQ from Big Switch Networks, the cloud and data centre networking company, which was acquired by Arista Networks in February 2020. At Big Switch she served as vice president of EMEA, drove revenue growth, expanded the channel and widened the networking business’ brand awareness in the 12 months prior to its acquisition.
Before joining Big Switch, Bulman held a number of senior leadership roles in cyber security businesses, both established ones and startups, including McAfee, Vormetric (acquired by eThales Security) and Forescout Technologies. Bulman has also held senior corporate roles at analyst Gartner and Nokia Siemens Networks.
“Louise has an impressive history of growing startup and corporate technology businesses in general management, sales and marketing,” said William Freiberg, co-chief executive officer at D2IQ. “Her vast experience as a leader and her knowledge of the industry will prove invaluable in creating brand awareness and expanding our customer relationships throughout the EMEA region.”
Bulman said: “Kubernetes is a transformative technology for businesses shifting to a cloud native strategy, but many teams are now running into the challenge of how to gain visibility, manage and control the cloud native landscape. D2iQ stands out as the company providing an answer to those challenges and I am delighted to have the opportunity to join a team of such passionate and driven people who are committed to helping companies evolve on their cloud native journeys.”
The vendor offers enterprise-grade cloud technologies, training, professional services and support to firms doing anything from deploying their first Kubernetes workload, optimising their business analytics with Spark or Jupyter, or looking to educate their developers on the benefits of cloud native. The firm is headquartered in San Francisco with additional offices in London, Hamburg and Beijing. Its investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Khosla Ventures, Koch Disruptive Technologies, Microsoft and T. Rowe Price Associates.
