SAP has extended its partnership with petrol forecourt retailer EG Group to streamline its digital capabilities in the cloud by moving its systems to RISE with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud.
The move to RISE with SAP will provide EG Group with an agile and single Digital Core platform to scale its business and have a universal ERP template to onboard acquisitions. The new Core platform will provide financial reporting insights into all its businesses utilising SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Group Reporting.
“We are incredibly proud of the established relationship we have with EG Group, and this next phase of the company’s growth and transformation is a truly exciting step,” said Rohit Nagarajan, president EMEA North at SAP. “Not only for our partnership and what we want to achieve together but for the way in which EG Group’s move to the cloud with RISE with SAP and S/4HANA will create the necessary foundations to accelerate growth across the business.”
EG Group said it also decided to expand its strategic relationship with SAP into other industry offerings such as retail and oil and gas. It will also work toward implementing SAP best practices to enhance internal controls and governance.
Extending this partnership further, SAP and EG Group will also work together to bring prosperity to the communities they serve. By establishing a centre of excellence, they will deliver training to help the local community develop essential skills and receive SAP accreditation at the end of the programme.
“Partnering with SAP has already allowed EG Group to realise benefits across functions such as finance, IT, HR, learning and development,” added Graham Billsborough, CIO of EG Group. “By extending the strategic partnership and working even more closely with SAP, the intent is to design and build a more comprehensive technology solution that will be used as a unified global platform. Our ambition is to simplify the current SAP system landscape, through RISE, realising new business capabilities through digital innovation.”
