Evolve IP of the US has acquired Wales-headquartered cloud communications provider thevoicefactory. Cloud service provider Evolve IP said the strategic purchase of the Cardiff-based firm is part of its ongoing market development strategy.
The purchase will provide Evolve with additional channels in the UK and Europe, a significant client base and greater penetration of the hospitality, automotive, finance and legal verticals.
Additionally, Evolve will add office locations in Fordingbridge, UK and Orlando, Florida as well as gain new data centres in the UK and the US.
Founded in 2009, thevoicefactory has more than 65,000 users in 21 countries via its private label programme. Thevoicefactory currently works with 35 resellers who will gain access to Evolve's intellectual property and service delivery capabilities, including web-based call management, an omnichannel contact centre, single-sign-on identity and access management, and a worldwide team of application developers.
Based on the same BroadSoft platform as Evolve, thevoicefactory shares a common architecture and framework that will “help ensure the rapid adoption of new features and capabilities for existing and new clients”, said Evolve. “Today, thevoicefactory is recognised as one of the largest UCaaS providers in the UK and one of BroadSoft’s biggest wholesalers in Europe,” Evolve added.
Guy Fardone, chief executive officer of Evolve IP, said: “We welcome thevoicefactory, their associates and worldwide partner community to the Evolve IP family. Combining Evolve IP’s intellectual property and OneCloud capabilities with thevoicefactory’s reseller channel will help us expand into new markets even faster, and provide incredible growth opportunities for our suite of cloud services.”
