ExactTrak secure USBs now in distribution

Secure USBs whcih can be remotely managed are now available through Zycko distribution

The wave of data loss through mislaid and stolen USB sticks has provided a market for secure USB devices from UK-based ExactTrak. Recent changes to the law mean that organisations now face significant fines if they fail to adequately protect sensitive details and information, and so protected USBs are now being made available through distributor Zycko.. ExactTrak secure USB devices will encrypt, allow GPS tracking and even remotely destroy sensitive data in the event of a security breach or loss.

Zycko’s Group Technical Director, Rob Clark said: “Recent high profile reports of lost or stolen data from mobile devices, across a number of different industries, provides a strong reminder of the detrimental impact of data loss from both a financial and reputational perspective. ExactTrak’s Security Guardian product is the only mobile device that allows the tracking and destruction of mobile data remotely. ExactTrak is an exciting addition to Zycko’s growing security and protection solution that monitors, prevents and mitigates the risk of data loss.”

The unique Security Guardian solution offers a centralised management console, enabling users to manage multiple USB devices on the move but without them having to be attached to a laptop or PC. The devices can be tracked across the globe, movements reported, and if the device is compromised it can be switched off…or destroyed at the touch of a button.

Commenting on the new relationship, Simon Cuthbert, Sales & Marketing Director at ExactTrak commented, “Zycko was the obvious choice for ExactTrak due to its proven expertise in selling managed services, and strong track record in taking next generation technologies that solve real business challenges to market. We look forward to the growth and opportunities that this relationship will bring to both companies.”
