Epos Now is already in use by more than 36,000 businesses, it says. Its system can be used with existing hardware or as a stand-alone solution with touchscreen terminals, and it supports a wide range of 150 third party applications via an App Store. Simon Woodman, Exertis mobile director, said, “This means a business can tailor and scale their own solution to support their bespoke needs. Simple to use, secure and expandable, its remarkable low cost adds to its appeal. We believe this product will be of considerable interest to our customers that sell into the retail and hospitality markets.”

Edward Johnson, Epos Now global business development director, said: "Epos Now has raised the bar for buying ePOS solutions online. We have focussed on building an out-of-the-box ePOS solution that supports all merchant needs across retail and hospitality sectors, offering complete hardware and software bundles that reach end users through distribution channels.”

He added: “Our relationship with Exertis means we can reach even more merchants, as well as offering traditional retail/e-tail businesses the ability to extend their range into the ever-evolving market of ePOS. Why should end users have to go to specialist companies and potentially pay over the odds when it's possible to buy direct from their known retail and e-tail channels?”
