Exertis expands retail software digital arm

Boxed software continues decline so reliable online retail systems are demanded

Distributor Exertis is expanding its online and instore digital delivery to retailers through its Ztorm subsidiary. Exertis Ztorm has been in digital distribution for a decade and boasts a catalogue of titles including brands like Microsoft, Sony, EA, Ubisoft, Nintendo, Sega, McAfee, Adobe and Symantec. It is aiming to enable retailers to take the step from physical to digital without the costs, hassle and logistics involved with traditional POSA cards.

Exertis Ztorm, managing director, Annica Lejdeborn said “Our focus is to help etailers and retailers deploy a cost-effective and reliable method for digital delivery. We have tested solutions for all store types ranging from small independents to large retailers or etailers. Each solution can adapt and grow according to the needs of the client. Exertis Ztorm’s print instore, dynamic, no-risk alternative to POSA cards provides great advantages to retailers who can also take advantage of the promotional and marketing support provided by the Exertis retail teams”.

As shipments of boxed games and software decline and demand for online downloads grows, then reliable, secure and scalable digital distribution is essential for both publishers and retailers in a market currently worth over $24bn.
