Focus Group growth continues as it acquires yet another company

The ever-expanding Focus Group has acquired Altrincham, Cheshire-based CCaaS specialist Contact Systems, bolstering its CX portfolio. The deal is Focus’ eleventh acquisition of the year.

The exact stake that Focus Group now holds in Contact Systems has not been made public. For its part, Contact said: “The owners of Contact Systems will retain a pivotal role in ensuring the group’s future success as shareholders.

“Meanwhile, the broader team will continue providing exceptional solutions and support from the business' established base in Altrincham.”

Rhys Bailey, interim CEO at Focus Group, said: “We’re committed to investing in our cloud capabilities and excited about the possibilities this investment brings to the wider group. It’s a logical step and brings us much closer to the forefront of omnichannel contact centre solutions.”

Matt Jones, director at Contact Systems, added: “By joining forces with Focus Group, we combine our expertise in CX engineering, design, and development with Focus’ dedication to delivering cutting-edge solutions in the realms of voice, IT and cyber security.

“It’s an exciting partnership and we know that the reputation, growth mindset, and culture that Focus Group bring to the table is going to elevate our business to the next level."

This September, Focus Group acquired IT reseller Silver Lining to enhance its service portfolio, technical capabilities, and strengthen its market presence on the south coast of England.

That deal, which was the group's tenth acquisition this financial year, also included Atmoso, a channel-only provider specialising in managed cloud services and PCI compliance.

In May this year, Focus bolstered its central region presence with the acquisition of Buckinghamshire-based Entropie.

With Entropie positioned near the Boxx Communications offices acquired by Focus last year, Focus said it was well situated to expand service delivery throughout the area.

With a well-funded Focus expanding this quickly, there are no doubt more acquisitions yet to come. Private equity firm Hg invested in Focus Group this April.
