GoTo study reveals a surge in partner utilisation

According to GoTo's latest IT Priority report, there has been a significant increase in the use of the channel, with a 55% rise in the past year alone.

The report also reveals 44% of enterprises prefer to partner as opposed to 27% who directly approach solution providers for new business tools.

Further, the report predicts a churn rate of 41% as businesses switch vendors to reduce costs.

The consolidation of communication, collaboration, and IT management and support tools is a major driver (83%), with 93% of respondents already underway or planning to consolidate these efforts.

When selecting new software, 48% of respondents prioritise minimising the IT workload, while 68% of business executives are more involved in procurement than before.

This shift in involvement is attributed to the rise in IT workload over the past year, as reported by 65% of survey participants, with 40% of them preferring to rely on their IT team.

In terms of investment, two-thirds (66%) of respondents plan to increase their spending on CX technology in 2023 compared to their spending in 2022.
