Global cloud networking provider GTT has formed a managed security service partnership with Palo Alto Networks to power its new Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) platform.
GTT said the partnership will leverage the networking and security capabilities of both companies to fortify the security of network access and the use of cloud applications as enterprises adapt their networks to the more dynamic requirements of a hybrid workforce.
“Adopting the most advanced security and networking technologies, and enabling our customers to leverage them readily, is the centrepiece of our product strategy, and we are pleased to partner with Palo Alto Networks to meet the stringent security requirements of our customers that GTT’s SASE global network services platform will deliver,” said Don MacNeil, GTT COO.
The new GTT SASE platform will use Alto Networks Prisma Access technology to provide enterprise customers with a set of security features in a single, cloud-delivered platform.
Additionally, the GTT SASE will enable businesses with employees that work remotely to adopt a zero-trust network access approach. That means users will be granted access based on their identity, device and application, rather than using an IP address or physical location.
“Our partnership with GTT will bring forth an exciting opportunity for customers,” added Kumar Ramachandran, SVP of products at Palo Alto Networks. “Many organisations are now turning to managed security service providers to achieve the security that is easily implemented as an overlay service to simplify deployments at the branch. As a result, this new partnership will bring secure cloud scalability to the customers of GTT.”
