Germany's business software firm SAP has launched a specialised AI division, with Dr. Philipp Herzig at the helm as the new Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO).
Herzig (pictured), who reports directly to CEO Christian Klein, will lead the unit responsible for the entirety of SAP Business AI, encompassing everything from product development and research through to customer implementation.
This initiative reflects SAP's strategy to integrate AI into its entire portfolio, aiming to enhance customer experiences.
Walter Sun, who has moved from Microsoft to become the global head of AI, will lead the product engineering efforts.
Herzig said : I will work with our team, as well as our ecosystem of customers and partners, to drive the development and delivery of relevant, reliable, responsible business AI that fundamentally changes the way business runs.”
