HP reveals ISV2SaaS scheme in Europe

HP launches new plan to help ISVs get ready for the new model of recurring revenues through SaaS; will support with international links to service providers

HP's new ISV2SaaS scheme was announced at the European software solutions Summit/ISV Convention 2015. Guy D'Hauwers HP's business development director for service providers and cloud ECO-systems in EMEA talks to IT Europa editor John Garratt about what it means:

“What we want to do is accelerate the ISV community so that they are ready for the new business models; when their products are consumed as a service. We have developed a lot of relationships with service providers in countries, because we are strong believers that data location needs to be guaranteed. That network of service providers is a foundation for this, with hundreds of them offering different services, different types of workloads; we bring the ISVs to them and want to bring them together more explicitly, so they can benefit from that network. We can offer a local service provider who not only can offer local hosting but advise on the local market and sign up new parters in that geography. There are three ideas – helps with business model to get them ready-for the new model and recurrent revenue, to get international access, with both cloud and on-premise. Finally it gives them reach and the ability to extend sales cycles.”
