File transfer and network management vendor Ipswitch has signed a UK distribution agreement with Ingram Micro, which recently started handling the technology in the Middle East region.
Through the deal, UK partners will have access to Ipswitch’s MOVEit and WS_FTP secure file transfer products and WhatsUp Gold network monitoring solution. The partnership agreement may be expanded to additional sales regions in the future, said the two companies.
“We are extending our partnership agreement with Ingram Micro to increase the reach of Ipswitch IT management solutions within the UK region,” said Sebastien Roques-Shaw, sales director for EMEA at Ipswitch. “Ipswitch is committed to delivering solutions that assure secure data sharing and high-performance infrastructures.”
Scott Murphy, director of cloud and advanced solutions at Ingram Micro UK and Ireland, said: “As the threat of cyberattacks and data hacks grow, secure file sharing solutions are already at the top of end-users’ agendas and are in the minds of the C-suite as a matter of concern. As industries begin to transform with smarter technology, so should our channel partners’ offerings.”
MOVEit is already used by thousands of organisations worldwide to provide security, traceability and control over business critical-file transfer activities, it claims. MOVEit 2019 was recently released with major enhancements. WS_FTP Server delivers flexibility to create a more efficient and customised file transfer process for specific organisational needs.
With WhatsUp Gold, users have a dashboard and interactive map for visibility into the status and performance of networks, servers, storage devices and applications across on-premise and cloud environments.
Earlier this year, Ingram Micro expanded its cyber security capabilities in the EMEA market by establishing three centres of excellence (COE) covering the region, each providing specialised training, support, managed services, solution architecting and consulting.
