Johnson Controls has acquired UK-based systems integrator Vindex Systems, a specialist in building security and operations systems.
Vindex designs, installs and maintains access control, CCTV and ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) systems, for organisations across the banking, retail, healthcare, aerospace and commercial property sectors.
“This acquisition demonstrates the strengthening of our holistic security and safety services,” said Carl Hogg, general manager for integrated security solutions at Johnson Controls UK and Ireland.

Financial terms for the transaction have not been disclosed.
