Digital transformation services firm Kin + Carta has expanded its European reach with a new office in Athens, Greece - a full-service delivery hub to support existing and new clients across mainland Europe and the UK.
The US-headquartered firm opened an innovation hub in Amsterdam, the Netherlands in December 2019.
In Athens, the company is actively recruiting local talent to bolster the launch team made up of existing Kin + Carta staff, with delivery lead Thanos Gkavos as the founding member of the Greek leadership team.
His previous roles include senior product portfolio and programme manager stints for brands including Tesco and Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Athens hub currently has fifteen engineering roles open, with an aspiration to grow the headcount to between 40 and 50 staff in the immediate future.
“Scaling up our pan-European offer in a meaningful and impactful way is embedded in our growth strategy,” said David Tuck, CEO at Kin + Carta Europe. “We know this move aligns with our customers' own hybrid working policies and growth plans.
“We’ve seen many of our people return to their home countries and continue to work remotely very successfully during the pandemic, so we have teams in and around Europe already set up and ready to go.”
Kin + Carta currently employs 1,600 people consisting of 42 nationalities across Europe and the Americas. The firm recently acquired Spire Digital, a Denver-based digital transformation business, and Cascade Data Labs, an Oregon-based data science company.
Tuck added: “Our growth plan in Europe will be driven organically as well as through acquisition. Watch this space on the latter.”
