A Latvia-based IT product wholesaler for eastern Europe. the ELKO Group has announced an expansion of its deal with Microsoft by adding to its portfolio the new ESD (Electronic Software Delivery) system to enhance the delivery of Microsoft retail products.
What is more, ELKO has also begun a distribution of Microsoft Hardware across the Baltic States. Under this deal, it will be selling the Microsoft’s webcams, keyboards, mice and headsets.
ELKO has been a Microsoft’s partner since 1996 selling its OEM and FFP software products in the Baltics. In 2014 ELKO launched its new ESD system which helps deliver Microsoft retail products such as Office 365 and 2013 Suits or Windows 8.1 directly to partners and cutting their reseller costs, it says.

ELKO Group has also signed a Chinese intelligent networking and cloud computing provider Opzoon for Russia. Under the terms of this deal, ELKO will distribute Opzoon channel and OEM goods in Russia, it says. This includes the exclusive distribution rights for its Ethernet switches, security solution, converged infrastructure (CI) as well as pre-configured computing, storage, network, virtualisation and unified management technologies.
Additionally, ELKO will also provide its Russian customers with a call centre in Russian. “ELKO is proud to be the first distributor to sell Opzoon goods in Russia. Opzoon Ethernet switches are significant addition to our existing networking product portfolio and gives an opportunity for our partners to experience new Ethernet manufacturer with strong focus on R&D.
