M-Files goes on the offensive with ambitious channel strategy

Scott Erickson said M-Files plans to add 50 partners in the next 12 months

M-Files is aggressively expanding its partner and certification programmes as it aims to drive further growth. Last week the information management vendor unveiled onboarding and training programmes, four channel certifications and outlined plans to recruit 50 additional partners.

"Sales driven by global partners grew 78% from the first quarter of 2020 through the same period this year," explained Scott Erickson, senior vice president of channel sales at M-Files.

"This was a result of the great relationships and partner-built trust with customers who turned to them during the pandemic for technology solutions. [Our] announcement reaffirms our strong commitment to providing partners with resources that heighten customer confidence in M-Files solutions and drive successful outcomes," he added.

M-Files has nearly 400 partners in 91 countries and intends to add another 50 partners in 2021. The vendor is growing its channel team by 25% in the next 12 months to support critical markets in the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

According to M-Files, the revamped channel strategy offers sales incentives to help partners build revenue and leverage its software as a service (SaaS) business model. Central to the vendor’s expansion plan is M-Files Campaign Centre – a campaign management application – that provides partners with self-service demand generation tools.

“The continued investments M-Files makes to support their partners truly differentiates them,” said Niall McConnell, commercial director at Dublin based M-Files Partner Convergent.

“The M-Files Certified Delivery Partner accreditation helps us showcase our proficiency in delivering M-Files solutions. By providing world-class training and best practices that meet the highest quality standards, M-Files equips us with the tools that offer our customers assurance and ensure their success.”

To provide support partner onboarding and support experience, M-Files technical consultants offer training using proven ‘best practices’ for delivering the company's ECM and collaboration solutions.
