Midwich strikes hat trick of AV distribution deals

Audio visual distributor Midwich has struck a trio of vendor deals this month, covering Ubiquiti, Icron and AVer.

Midwich has signed a UK and Ireland distribution agreement with network solutions provider Ubiquiti, which includes the supplier's UniFi enterprise networking system. The quick mobile setup allows for the rapid deployment of access points across projects, while the Ubiquiti remote access functionality makes it an ideal solution for the enterprise market, said Midwich.

Ross Floyd, divisional director at Midwich, said: “Ubiquiti’s products are well known in the enterprise and custom install industry and have earned a formidable reputation as an easy-to-use solution for powerful and reliable network builds.”

Midwich has also sealed a UK and Ireland deal with Icron for its high-performance USB and video extension solutions, aimed at the commercial and industrial markets covering ProAV, medical, military, industrial automation, machine vision and education.

The ExtremeUSB patented technology extends USB and video devices over many media types, including CAT 5e/6/7, fibre and over a corporate LAN.

Glenn Antonelli, Icron director of business management, said: “Midwich has had a major impact in growing the UK and European ProAV markets and they are a natural fit for us to partner with.”

In addition, Midwich has extended its deal with AVer from the North America market to other regions. The vendor is a developer and manufacturer of education technology and visual collaboration solutions that support Zoom, Teams and Google Meet set-ups.

Midwich partners in the UK and Ireland can get their hands on AVer products now, with other regions being served in the “coming months”, said the distributor.
