New vendor emerged from Westcon incubator

Adds Arbor Networks' DDOS packages; extends range previously supplied to other regions

Distributor Westcon Group has expanded its portfolio across Europe to include DDoS and advanced threat protection solutions from Arbor Networks. The two companies currently have an agreement to carry Arbor's DDoS solutions in Latin America and the Middle East. The expansion into Europe is part of Westcon Group's strategy to bring emerging technologies to market more quickly and on a global scale through its recently announced incubation program, which specifically targets vendors that may not have previously used or considered distribution as a route to market.

"Arbor is primed to accelerate its growth at a time when solution providers and their customers need the ability to research, detect and mitigate network-based threats on a global scale," says Anthony D'Angelo, vice president of global partner management, emerging vendors and incubation, at Westcon Group. "With joint investment from both companies, the incubation program provides them with the infrastructure and the support to make that happen."

Under the new agreement, European solution providers have access to a broad offering of Arbor solutions, including:

Arbor Pravail which aims to deliver a broad, integrated set of network visibility; threat detection and mitigation; incident response; and forensics capabilities. Arbor Cloud delivers an integrated combination of on-premise and cloud-based mitigation for protection from the full spectrum of DDoS attacks.

Arbor Peakflow provides a single view across a provider's entire network from the customer edge through the backbone and into the mobile packet core.
