NTT Ltd, the newly formed $11bn turnover Japan-headquartered entity, has launched a new cloud services platform in Paris. The facility is aimed at mid-sized enterprises in France that are pursuing hybrid IT and multi-cloud strategies to run their workloads.
The company was recently formed as a single business by bringing together 40,000 people from 28 companies and brands across the group, including NTT Communications, Dimension Data and NTT Security. The new French platform is also being offered to multinational companies to help support their digital transformation efforts across Europe, with the help of the capital's widespread interconnectivity.
Among other services, clients can benefit from a disaster recovery configuration in the Paris region and other European countries by leveraging global its cloud and integrated IT infrastructure. NTT said it can support services from the edge of the cloud to the data centre and to clients’ employees.
Frederick Tak-Kit Ong, country manager, France and Southern Europe, said: “The launch of the cloud platform in France fulfils increasing demand for cloud services, but the bigger value for clients is the complete global infrastructure proposition that NTT has to offer. The launch provides them with new options for workload optimisation across their IT estates.”
Cloud workload optimisation is delivered through the firm's Solution Insight product, which supports visualisation, automation and control of hybrid IT resources across disparate cloud environments.
NTT says further expansion of its local cloud reach in other countries is also on the way, through planned investments that are signed off.
