Nuvias adds Cisco to UC stable

Second big deal sees distributor ramping up its unified comms side

Nuvias is to distribute Cisco’s unified communications (UC) portfolio and its recently released open SIP endpoints to the UK channel.

As a key UK distributor for BroadSoft, prior to its recent acquisition by Cisco, Nuvias can now support both new and existing BroadSoft and Cisco resellers, as Cisco looks to integrate BroadSoft technology into its cloud-based unified communications solutions.

The Cisco products will be supported via Nuvias’ UC Practice which offers end-to-end solutions. Steve Harris, EVP of unified communications at Nuvias, said: “The agreement with Cisco, combined with Cisco’s acquisition of BroadSoft and our growing best-of-breed UC portfolio, puts us in a unique position to add further value to existing partners, and work with new resellers to deliver integrated, end-to-end cloud-based solutions.”

Earlier this month, Nuvias signed a UC pan-EMEA distribution agreement with BlueJeans Network, the cloud service that connect desktops, mobile devices and room systems in video meetings. Nuvias is bundling the BlueJeans’ platform with videoconferencing devices from Polycom to provide “ready-to-go” solutions which scale from SMEs up to large enterprises.
