OpenText acquires Pillr from Novacoast

Information management software vendor OpenText has enhanced its MDR services for MSPs by acquiring Pillr, the software development unit of IT services firm Novacoast.

This addition of Pillr’s MDR platform will accelerate OpenText’s cybersecurity roadmap and add new features like API integrations and bundled product/pricing options for MSPs.

The deal also includes transferring Pillr's customers and employees to OpenText.

OpenText CEO & CTO Mark J. Barrenechea said: “The combination of Pillr’s platform with our existing Threat Detection offerings strengthens OpenText’s position in the cybersecurity market and reinforces our commitment to our SMB partners and customers.”
