Polish distributor expands in Croatia

Polish IT distributor Veracomp SA says it has now fully incorporated into its structure Croatian-based company Mack IT d.o.o which it bought by the end of last year. The Croatian entity has rebranded as Veracomp d.o.o. and changed its logo.

The acquisition is expected to enhance Veracomp market position as Mack IT has enjoyed a strong reputation as value-added distributor (VAD) that offers security, networking and videoconferencing solutions. The vendors in its portfolio include A10 Networks, Blue Coat, CyberArk, Extreme Networks, Fortinet, Lifesize, ObserveIT, Polycom, Proofprint, SafeNet, Stormshield, TIBCO – LogLogic and Trend Micro, it says.

“Mack IT has earned a strong market recognition and is well positioned not only in Croatia, but also in Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which turned the company into a natural acquisition target for us. We hope that the launch of Veracomp in Croatia will strengthen our position in the Adriatic region as well as in the CEE,” says Veracomp SA’s President, Adam Rudowski.

“We are a part of the group that operates in sixteen countries in the region. This gives us the opportunity to grow fast and, at the same time, maintain the high level of independence. Our partners will benefit from the high quality of services and receive the access to the best solutions in the market,” adds Aleksandar Stancin, General Manager of Veracomp d.o.o.

Veracomp was founded in Poland in 1991 and its group includes several other companies such as Veracomp s.r.o a distie of IT solutions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and Veracomp Europe s.r.l which provides solutions in Romania.

Veracomp’s initial business strategy assumed a distribution model only, which meant the products and services were offered exclusively for resale, it says. However, since 1996 it has been operating as a value-added distributor.
