Polish VAD does Red Hat’s Czech distribution

Part of long term development plan

A Polish value-added distie (VAD) Veracomp has announced it has bought from a Czech company Servodata its Red Hat’s open source distribution division that operates in the Czech and Slovak markets. The deal also covers the entire sales team responsible for a distribution of enterprise open source solutions under Servodata brand and who will now join Veracomp.

The transaction, which value has not been disclosed, is a part of a Veracomp’s long-term development plan in the region aiming at the enhancement of its sales strategy for commercial solutions.

“The acquisition of Red Hat distribution division is another important milestone for us, which fits well into our strategy. Under the terms of a deal, we will take over its entire sales team and we are committed to ensure the continuity of the business and provision of all support related to the distribution of these technologies and to existing partners. Additionally, for the convenience of our partners, we will keep the same contact person that they’ve been already working with,” says Veracomp’s CEO, Petr Janda.
