Cloud data management vendor Redstor says it is aiming to treble its channel revenue by 2020 with the help of newly hired chief marketing officer Gareth Case.
The UK-headquartered company sells its solutions through a network of 350 partners worldwide, and Case will be using his past 20 years of experience at the likes of DXC, CSC and NIIT Technology to boost their sales opportunities further.
His appointment completes the operational board at Redstor, following the recent addition of Mark Howling as chairman, who has worked in the software, IT and telecoms industries for more than 30 years.
Redstor founder and chief executive Paul Evans said: “In the last year, we have grown our cloud data management offering by more than 30% internationally. Gareth brings a new and exciting dimension to our business and our board.
“We are targeting aggressive growth which will be driven by heavy investments in marketing and product development, as we pursue our vision to become the company of choice for the control and protection of data.”
Case said his top priority is driving a multi-channel demand generation programme to attack the £36bn data management market. “The market opportunity is huge and continues to grow with the proliferation of business data,” said Case. “We’re already delivering the future of data management and have the building blocks in place to take the market by storm and grow our share of the market exponentially.”
About a year ago, Redstor secured additional investment from Beech Tree Private Equity.
