SAP has extended its partnership with Unipart Group, a global logistics, consulting and manufacturing organisation that has been an existing SAP customer for 21 years.
Through the alliance, Unipart is extending its offering beyond logistics to include IT services, assisting in expanding its customer portfolio, which currently includes Jaguar Land Rover, Sky and NHS Supply Chain.
The renewed partnership will see the group strengthen its capability as an SAP SI to empower its own customers to transition to cloud technology under RISE with SAP.
“We’re proud of our long-standing relationship with an industry heavyweight in Unipart,” said Michiel Verhoeven, UK & Ireland MD at SAP. “As it evolves to become a truly digital-first company, RISE with SAP is the perfect solution to enable faster, more agile, automated and insight-driven business services. With more than two decades already behind our partnership, we’re excited to see where we can take Unipart next.”
The move to embrace RISE with SAP both as part of its own IT estate, as well as an SAP SI, allows Unipart to accelerate its transformation into an agile IT services company.
“Reinvention is part of our DNA, it means our transformation journey is never finished and that we can always better serve and provide innovative solutions to our customers,” added Yiannis Levantis, Group CIO at Unipart. “As we look to shift our business model towards being an IT services company first, with deep expertise in logistics, manufacturing and supply chain, expanding our capabilities alongside SAP has been the next step to make this a reality.”
