SolarWinds goes after more partner business with new hire

IT management software vendor SolarWinds has expanded its leadership team in the UK and Ireland, appointing Charles Damerell (pictured) as senior sales director to strengthen its channel in the region.

Damerell will work alongside Ludovic Neveu, group vice president for EMEA sales at SolarWinds, supporting the company in its regional efforts to “strengthen the brand” for IT operations management solutions, said the vendor.

Neveu said: “Welcoming Charles into our UK&I leadership team is a major step in our ambitious sales strategy, focused on building collaborative business relationships and expanding beyond our traditional markets.

“His experience will help us to grow he existing sales team, focus on strategic alliances and expand channel business. Charles’ appointment will also help SolarWinds explore new opportunities - growing into new sectors including education and local government.”

Damerell joins with more than 20 years of experience working in the technology sector. Prior to SolarWinds he held positions at Astadia, AVG, T-Mobile and International Network Services (INS), among others.

SolarWinds recently announced that it was planning to spin-off its MSP business into a standalone, separately-traded public company that would be named “N-able”.
