Talend grows European VAR programme

Expands scheme as around 30 new resellers added

Big data integration software specialist Talend has announced it expects further growth of its European VAR programme which already accounts for almost 20% of its total new software business in Europe, it says.

The value added resellers programme in Europe was launched in March last year and has largely focused on new market opportunities in France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Up to now, Talend has managed to bring on board around 30 new reseller partners while the total number of contracts during the first nine month of the new programme duration climbed to 20% of its new subscription business.

Under the VAR programme, partners are rewarded with access to Talend’s automated promotional tools, selling strategies, sales and marketing materials along with technical training and support. Additionally, some partners are also offered an access to a technical support line as well as pre-sale product support and Talend marketing activities.

“Our VAR has produced significant growth and momentum since it kicked off, enabling us to keep pace with the increase in product demand we are experiencing. Importantly, our VAR programme is empowering participants to expand their relationships with existing customers, acquire new clients and drive new and recurring streams of revenue,” says Francois Mero, senior vice president of sales EMEA, Talend.

One of the recruited resellers is a UK-based provider of big data, digital transformation, governance and analytics solutions, Datalytyx, which says that it is currently using some of Talend’ tools and solutions such as Big Data Integration for one of its clients from the pharma sector for which Datalytyx is building a ‘data lake’ and a new compliance system, in a separate project. Additionally, under the VAR programme, Datalytyx has also access to Talend’s solutions that the company is currently using with its two other customers.

“We’ve benefited significantly as a result of being part of the Talend European VAR Programme. The technical training and support they provided and our collaborative working relationship has helped ensure the smooth execution of our customer engagements. Talend has also benefited as we have invested in creating one of the largest Talend consulting practices in EMEA and grown some of the most experienced Talend architects and consultants outside Talend. Like all relationships, it must go two ways to make it work and that’s what we have with Talend,” says Justin Mullen, Director at Datalytyx.
