Simon Bennett, currently senior director, enterprise software and cloud, UK and Ireland at TD Synnex, is being promoted to managing director, advanced solutions, for the distributor’s same region.
Bennett will take up the position when the current managing director for advanced solutions, Matt Child, moves into his new role leading TD Synnex’s European digital strategy in December.
Child will be stepping into the shoes of Andy Gass, who is retiring from the business in January 2024, after a 30-year career at the company.
Bennett said: “Over the last four years, Matt has built a fantastic team with incredible depth of capability. He has established the advanced solutions business as a leader in the enablement and aggregation of emerging technologies and a genuinely trusted advisor for channel partners.
“I look forward to continuing and building on that success and taking the business into the next exciting phase of its development.”
