Vantage Data Centers is expanding its EMEA portfolio with a second data centre campus in Zurich, set to open this summer.
Located 30 kilometres north of Zurich in Glattfelden, the ZRH2 campus covers 226,000 square feet and will provide 24MW of critical IT capacity.
The project, involving an investment of over CHF 370 million ($405 million), features eco-friendly designs such as rainwater infiltration and a green roof.
David Howson, President of Vantage Data Centers, EMEA, said: “Zurich is a rapidly growing data centre market due to its strategic central location and its global financial leadership, and we expect to continue developing in this market based on customer demand.”
During its peak construction phase, Vantage will employ over 400 workers and create approximately 25 permanent jobs to operate the campus.
