Security services vendor Vectra has appointed Keith Wilkinson as its new VP for the UK and Ireland region. He joins from Amazon Web Services, where he was head of EMEA sales for productivity applications, and responsible for go-to-market, strategy and sales execution.
At Vectra, he has been brought in to forge new partnerships to bring the firm’s threat detection capabilities to new customers and partners, to help reduce the burden on security analysts.
“Keith brings a wealth of expertise following several EMEA sales leadership roles, partnering with companies that differentiate through delivering great customer experience, whilst helping to accelerate business outcomes leveraging AI and the cloud,” said Teppo Halonen, SVP for EMEA at Vectra.
He added: “We have a great base of customers and partners in the UK/I and the momentum is building, particularly with the launch of Attack Signal Intelligence and Vectra MDR (managed detection and response). Keith’s experience will without doubt help us bring the unique threat detection capability we offer to even more customers and partners in the region.”
Prior to AWS, Wilkinson held leadership positions at Dynatrace, ClickSoftware (acquired by Salesforce) and Genesys.
“Organisations are confronted with an ever-expanding attack surface and emerging attacker techniques; this increases SOC (security operations centre) workloads resulting in an overwhelming ‘spiral of more’,” said Wilkinson.
“Now’s the time to bring cyber resiliency and security trust to organisations’ enterprise environments. I look forward to forming close alliances with customers and partners, to help them find and prevent cyber attacks becoming business-impacting breaches.”
