Cloud data management vendor Veeam has promoted Tim Pfaelzer to general manager and senior vice president of EMEA.
He has been with Veeam since July 2021, and he most recently held the position of vice president, enterprise, EMEA. Pfaelzer has spent more than 20 years in the IT industry, including senior management roles at Dell, and various positions at Adobe, Autodesk, and Salesforce.
He is based in Germany. “At a time when the success of every organisation across EMEA depends on the availability of their critical business data, it’s essential they are prepared to not just bounce back from an outage or data loss, but to bounce forward,” said Pfaelzer.
“I’m looking forward to working with all our customers and partners to ensure we build a safer future for every organisation.”
John Jester, chief revenue officer at Veeam, said: “We believe in developing great talent and promoting great leaders from within. Tim is a great example. He has been critical to the growth of our business across EMEA. He puts the needs of our customers and partners at the centre of everything we do.”
Analyst house IDC says Veeam is EMEA’s number one provider of data replication and protection software, holding a 20.5% market share.
