VMware's global channel head Jenni Flinders (pictured) has left the company. Her’ successor is Sandy Hogan, who joined the firm only last month.
Hogan was originally hired to lead the company’s revamped partner ecosystem and commercial go-to-market strategy as a senior vice president for worldwide commercial and partner sales.
It is not known where Flinders is going at the moment. Her LinkedIn profile still has her down as the VMware global channel head, and her Twitter account describes her simply as a “technology channel expert”.
Flinders was originally given her role in April 2018. She previously held senior global channel positions at Microsoft over a 15-year period.
Before joining VMware, Hogan was briefly executive vice president and Americas managing director at Rackspace. Before that, she held various positions at Cisco over a 12-year period.
VMware said of Flinder's departure: “Jenni Flinders has made a personal career decision to leave the company. Over the last two years, Jenni contributed her expertise to revamping the global partner organisation, including the successful launch of Partner Connect.
“We thank Jenni for her passion and commitment and wish her well. Sandy Hogan, senior vice president of worldwide commercial and partner sales, will lead the Worldwide Partner Organisation.”
The Partner Connect programme went live this year and takes account of the various technologies the vendor has recently launched and acquired through a number of recent acquisitions.
Earlier this year, VMware appointed Sylvain Cazard as its new vice president for Central EMEA, succeeding Luigi Freguia. Freguia’s promotion to general manager and senior vice president for EMEA was announced in November 2019.
