Distributor Westcon is to supply Extreme Networks’ cloud management solution ExtremeCloud IQ across the EMEA region from 1 January 2020.
ExtremeCloud IQ says it uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to provide enterprises with visibility, control and automation of their network. The partners say it is designed to help organisations automate end-to-end, edge-to-data centre network operations; to unlock new analytics; scale faster; and secure and optimise the end user and application experience.
Westcon will offer training and other support services to partners from January 2020. Marianne Nickenig, vice president for Westcon collaboration and networking for EMEA, said: “Extreme Networks’ acquisition of Aerohive adds critical cloud management and new edge capabilities to its portfolio of end-to-end, edge to cloud software-driven networking solutions, and we look forward to supporting our partners in supplying this technology.”
The application is built on an architecture supported by microservices, cloud technology and tools acquired from Aerohive Networks earlier this year. The acquisition brought together the “world's #2 leader in cloud managed wireless LAN services with the #3 provider of enterprise networking equipment”, said Extreme.
“We have extended our partnership with Westcon to cover our new ExtremeCloud IQ application,” said John Campbell, director for EMEA distribution at Extreme Networks. “We know that we can rely on Westcon to provide partners with a broad range of value-added services when distributing our solutions.”
