Private equity firm Francisco Partners has acquired Blancco, a data protection and privacy company, for £175m, or 223p per share.
This all-cash deal results in Blancco delisting from the London stock market.
Blancco, with a specialisation in securing end-of-life data and data storage management, serves over 2,500 customers in more than 70 countries.
Brian Decker, partner at Francisco Partners, and Karl Shum, principal at the firm, said: "We have been very impressed with the leading market position that Blancco has established through its solutions and aim to drive the next phase of its expansion."
Advising on the deal, Rothschild & Co and Travers Smith LLP assisted Blancco, while Canaccord Genuity and Ropes & Gray International LLP advised Francisco Partners.
