Acer strikes repair and sustainability deal in Ireland

Acer has struck a partnership with MBT Ireland (pictured), a provider of IT repair and lifecycle management services. The deal enables Acer to deliver localised technical support and repair services to businesses and educational institutions across the Republic of Ireland, eliminating the need to ship devices overseas for servicing.

MBT Ireland specialises in device repair, refurbishment, and secure data management, while helping businesses and institutions to reduce their e-waste.

The agreement builds on Acer’s recent strategic alliance with Irish distributor MicroWarehouse, that strengthened Acer’s commercial and education sector footprint in the country.

By establishing local repair services, streamlining distribution, and backing their products with a strong reliability promise, Acer says it is not only enhancing the customer experience for businesses and educational institutions, but also contributing to the local economy and promoting more sustainable IT practices within Ireland.

“With MBT Ireland’s expertise now complementing our partnership with MicroWarehouse, Acer is uniquely positioned to serve Irish customers with end-to-end support, from purchase to repair,” said Andy Russell, call centre and operations manager at Acer.
