Ingram Micro has completed the purchase of France-based Anovo, a provider of after-sales support, repairs and regeneration solutions for high-tech products such as tablet devices, computers, set top boxes and smartphones. Through this move, the distributor hopes to build its position in device lifecycle services.
Despite of the acquisition, Anovo’s management is not going to change and the company will be still run by Francois Lacombe who will now be directly reporting to a president at Ingram Micro Mobility, it says. The acquisition is expected to bring the annual services revenue by over $300m to Ingram Micro’s 2015 full-year results.
At present, Anovo has operations in France, the UK, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Poland and Spain. Outside of Europe, it operates through its regional offices in South America and China.
“Anovo significantly increases the contribution of services revenues in Europe and Latin America, while also enabling Ingram Micro to provide a complete suite of mobility lifecycle solutions in a host of new countries. We are already positioned at the centre of the global mobility ecosystem and we expect to leverage ANOVO’s core service offerings and client relationships across our global infrastructure to expand our presence in current markets and capture new market opportunities,” says chief executive officer at Ingram Micro, Alain Monie.
