Pavilion Data Systems is to distribute its NVMe-oF storage platforms to the European market through Business Systems International (BSI), with a focus on financial organisations as customers. The company’s European efforts will be led by Antonius Welling, Pavilion Data regional vice president and general manager of EMEA.
Its solutions are designed to enable internet and SaaS companies, cloud service providers and enterprises to deliver business-critical applications “at the speed of direct-attached storage”, and with the “economics, reliability, manageability and data management services of shared storage”, the vendor says.
Pavilion's rack-scale NVMe-over-Fabric Storage Platform ingests, processes, stores and serves data for massively-parallel modern applications, it says. Pavilion’s OPENCHOICE Storage business model provides flexibility to reuse existing standard 2.5in NVMe SSDs or purchase the latest SSDs directly from drive makers, “dramatically reducing procurement costs and future-proofing the platform investment”, it says.
“Once in a while, we see a new storage array manufacturer enter the market with a radically new approach. This year, we were so impressed by Pavilion Data that we decided to take on the role of European distribution,” said Daniel Goodman, managing director of BSI.
“The performance, density and low latencies of the Pavilion solution will solve many of our customers’ challenges, and we are looking forward to meeting the strict and complex requirements of financial organisations while enabling them to scale as their business grows.”
Pavilion's Welling said: “We are pleased to tap into the extensive customer base that BSI has all over Europe, because we believe that NVMe-oF adoption is the answer for many of the problems that financial organisations have today.
“Under the guidance of the BSI team, we will be able to show the immediate benefits that our storage solution brings to their customers’ environments.”
