Channel connectivity vendor StarTech.com has appointed Andrzej ‘Kap’ Kasprzyk (pictured) as its vice president of sales for Europe, as the Canada-headquartered firm aims to make further in-roads into the region.
“In this role, Kap will be leading the commercial team to grow the European business and open new markets in the region,” it said. StarTech says it has experienced strong growth in Europe in recent years, growing its sales by 28% in 2018 and more than tripling its sales since 2013.
In the UK, StarTech's first European market, growth continues to be strong with sales increasing by more than 30% over the last two years.
“Kap has a strong history of building and motivating strong and driven teams that succeed across a number of geographic regions,” said Lynn Smurthwaite-Murphy, StarTech.com president and CEO. “He is going to be instrumental in expanding our business across Europe and ensuring StarTech customers across the region are receiving the support and quality products we have become known for.”
Over the last 25 years, he has previously held senior roles across Europe at Palm Computing, Tapwave, TomTom and Huawei.
Kasprzyk said: “The StarTech.com team have built a strong foundation in Europe but there is still a great opportunity to grow the European market, with ambitious plans to double revenue in Europe over the next three years.
“The unique mix of hard-to-find connectivity accessories combined with truly amazing support offers tremendous value to channel partners and IT professionals throughout Europe.”
StarTech products in Europe are currently distributed by Ingram Micro, Tech Data, ALSO, Exertis, CMS and Esprinet.
