Canon has hired Tony Wills as Document Solutions Business Unit director for Canon UK and Ireland. He will provide strategic input on taking new products and services to market through the channel.
Wills brings over 35 years of global industry and leadership experience across both the corporate and SME environments, including time at Xerox, the reseller channel and 25 years in senior roles within Canon.
He originally joined Canon in 1984 and has held various senior position in the UK and Ireland, New Zealand and Australia. For the last eleven years he has been at other companies, including his last previous position as commercial and marketing director for 4th Platform, the IT, unified communications and cloud services reseller.
Yusuke Mizoguchi, senior managing director for Canon UK & Ireland, said: “I am confident that Tony’s vast international sales and marketing experience, spanning both direct and indirect sales, will ensure he is able to successfully deliver our strategic goals and drive growth in all areas of the Document Solutions organisation.”

Over two years ago, Canon expanded its channel business across Scotland with a strategic alliance with independent print and document management firm Capital Document Solutions. Capital has six regional branches across Scotland and it complemented Canon’s existing routes to market in the country.
