Exertis unveils new Microsoft cloud services unit for resellers

Exertis has pulled the wraps off a new full-service Microsoft cloud services platform for resellers. Exertis Cloud focuses on “simplicity and support” for resellers, providing licensing for Microsoft software and services with end-to-end delivery, said the distributor.

An “innovative marketing programme” makes it “easy” for small- to medium-sized resellers to “lean” on Exertis for full-service support, it said. Resellers will experience a bespoke portal, a dedicated cloud success manager and will also be able to take advantage of an Exertis Cloud Training Academy.

“Resellers with no experience of cloud services will benefit hugely from Exertis’ full-service approach,” the distributor added. The self-serve platform is a pay monthly service that includes Microsoft Office 365, enabling collaboration, communication and improved productivity among end-user customers.

Rik Hubbard, Exertis cloud services director, said: “Exertis Cloud will enable our partners to support their customers’ changing requirements - whether it is supporting their staff to work safely and productively away from the office, or ensuring that company data is securely stored and managed in the public cloud.”

Resellers will sign up as Silver partners as standard, with an ongoing reward scheme going up to Gold and Platinum, covering marketing packages, unlocked rebates and incentives and accreditation covering Microsoft competencies.

As part of the launch, Exertis has appointed a specialist cloud services team led by Hubbard, with Michael Freeman appointed as head of cloud sales, Helen Workman working as head of cloud marketing, Jay Haszczyn being cloud success manager and Paul Baginski working as the Microsoft Azure technical lead.

In a separate development, the company has added the SMART Technologies portfolio to its Pro AV business unit, with SMART providing interactive displays and software designed specifically for the learning and collaboration market.
