TD Synnex company Tech Data is supporting IBM partner Triton Consulting to become one of the first firms to develop a capability to migrate Db2 customers to the Cloud Pak for the Data container platform.
Triton drew on the expertise of Tech Data’s consultants and its Practice Builder methodology for IBM Cloud Pak to develop its migration capability, Tech Data said.
Tech Data’s Practice Builder is a methodology that allows channel partners to build their competence and capability in a technology area. It also provides educational and business support resources that enable partners to build long-term success in their chosen area of specialisation.
“The work we’ve done with Triton is a great example of how effective Practice Builder can be in helping partners to go from where they are today, to where they need to be in tomorrow’s market, in a structured, methodical, and measurable way,” Corin Wright (pictured), Practice Builder lead for UK and Ireland at Tech Data. “It’s worked brilliantly for Triton, which is now in a position to offer a new kind of service that genuinely differentiates its business.”
Practice Builder can do the same for any partner, Wright added. “Every partner’s current situation and goals are different. Through Practice Builder, we can provide any partner with a tailored programme of learning and development that will accelerate their transformation and time to market in key areas such as IBM Data Pak, security, and cloud solutions.”
Tech Data said that Practice Builder has been developed across the solution areas of cloud, security, IoT and data, as well as a growing library of vendor-specific enablement paths.
