TD Synnex company Tech Data has formed a partnership with market specialist Retail Profiling Group to offer merchandising services and sales training to retailers.
The service, which will be available via Tech Data’s consumer services business unit, is the latest addition to Tech Data’s portfolio of value-added services to retailers, said Mark Glasspool (pictured), services director, UK and Ireland, at Tech Data.
“Through our new collaboration with Retail Profiling, we’ll offer independent retailers a value-added service that will make a tangible benefit to their business,” Glasspool said. “Our experience in the retail technology market and Retail Profiling’s prowess in consumer electronics and technology merchandising is a potent combination and one that offers something genuinely different to retailers.”
Glasspool added that Tech Data will continue to add more services in the weeks and months, with the aim of providing retailers with the support and expertise they need to stand out in today’s hyper-competitive market.
Through its partnership with Retail Profiling, Tech Data will offer a range of service options, including a simple display refresh, customised POS, branded bay and demonstration units, and the design and construction of entire category sections.
Additionally, specialist training programmes, some of which leverage augmented and VR technology, will also be available to independent retailers through Tech Data.
“Every retailer and every outlet are different – that’s something both Tech Data and Retail Profiling understand,” added Mike Evans, MD at Retail Profiling Group. “We’ll be working closely with Tech Data to provide independent retailers with the right merchandising solutions for their particular needs.”
The partnership comes after Tech Data recently extended its services for the installation and maintenance of power management and UPS solutions.
