UK cloud-led managed service provider Six Degrees has announced the appointment of Lindsay Gallard as chief people officer (CPO).
Since joining the firm in 2018, Gallard (pitured) has held various roles, including executive operations director, and most recently, he served as interim people director since January this year.
Before then, Gallard worked in a series of senior HR roles covering the UK and Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. He has a varied background in organisations spanning the public, not-for-profit and private sectors.
“The war for talent is intensifying, and IT services will continue to be one of the most competitive industries,” said Six Degrees CEO Simon Crawley-Trice. “We are pleased to welcome Lindsay to the role of CPO; his deep HR expertise, drive for leading-edge practice and, above all, commitment to our people will put us on the best footing to attract and retain the prime talent we need.”
Gallard is also a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and believes in building a best-in-class framework that will continue to maximise the potential of Six Degrees’ people.
“When we say, ‘people are at the heart of what we do’, that’s not just lip service,” Gallard added. “It is the passion of our people that will ultimately deliver an outstanding experience for our clients. This, in turn, will see Six Degrees really differentiate itself as the UK’s leading secure technology solutions provider. For me, that all comes from creating a truly inclusive environment where every individual can thrive. I am excited to continue to champion that from this role.”
