Networking and communications provider Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) has made Gerry O’Hanlon country business leader for the UK and Ireland.
He has been been with ALE for over seven years and was previously the major accounts director for the UK.
“I believe in the sales team and broader support roles of TSS and marketing, and I know the UK and Ireland can be a star in the EMEA organisation,” he said.
“We'll continue to develop our distribution and business partner network, expanding our client community and improving the brand reputation.”
Laurent Paterac, vice president of sales for Europe North at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, added: “With an outstanding and unbroken record of successive sales growth achievement, Gerry stood out as having the right qualities and foundations for success in this challenging new role.

This April, ALE appointed the Nuvias Group as a distributor across the UK, Ireland, the Nordics and the Baltics. A year ago, Exertis was brought in as an ALE distributor for the UK and Ireland markets.
