Rackspace’s President and CFO Amar Maletira has moved up the corporate ladder following his promotion to CEO, succeeding outgoing Kevin Jones, who will take on the role of operating advisor.
Maletira moves from his previous position as CFO at Viavi Solutions. Before that, he was at Hewlett-Packard for 15 years where he held several roles including CFO of Enterprise Services for Americas.
He will assume the responsibilities of the role with immediate effect as the firm launches an immediate search for a permanent CFO.
David Sambur, Co-Head of Private Equity at Apollo Global Management and Chairman of the Rackspace Technology Board of Directors, said: “We believe Amar’s appointment as CEO will allow us to improve and accelerate the execution of our new go-forward strategy.”
Maletira, added: “I am very excited about the journey ahead and look forward to leading the company as we transition to our new strategy and operating model.”
